i got up early and started walking, there was blue sky and a warm yellow sun rising, i walked towards him, up the hill – more cotham colours in my wake, to chandos, familiar senses searching something new, looking at nothing in particular in reverse (back and through) down coldharbour where traffic sounds like people in my head and a groundswell of pavement wakes the dead, asking me to make my way, so i do, finding cheltenham with dreams, ghosts and lovers, and moved; a church to pray wood for my sins, nailing coffins – pieces of bristol – hard and good, as moments pass and forever begins
